property run by Usha Shriram Hotels. With a colourful
history, it remains the only one of its ilk in Shimla
today.
Originally
built by Mohammad Yahya Khan, an aristocrat from Lahore,
Springfields was spread over 4 acres. The property then
comprised the main house, two outhouses, stables and a
tennis court.
Acquired by Usha Shriram Hotels, Springfields is
situated at a little distance from the bustle of the
Mall - the famous Shimla promenade, in the peaceful and
verdant surroundings of Chotta Shimla.
The
high ceilinged rooms, the wooden flooring, the quaint
fireplaces and the warmth and old-world hospitality of
the staff, all combine to make it an unforgettable
experience, which though tinged with the nostalgia of a
bygone era, is yet plush with all the modern amenities
