ROYAL CAMP
The
Royal Camp captures the luxurious nostalgia of a bygone
age of the Maharaja's safari and shikar camps.
The luxury tents combine innovative designs that
demonstrate many skills and crafts of Marwar. The Camp
consists of 100 custom made tents each with verandah,
bedroom and bathroom. All amenities and fittings have
been created for maximum comfort. There is a large
dining tent serving the best of Rajasthani cuisine and a
large open reception tent with seating areas. The
Campfire is the focal point for the evening
entertainment programme and rhythms of the Thar-music,
dancing, magic shows, puppet shows, jugglers, flaming
torches and camel parades. 
The
Royal Camp at Pushkar takes place at the same time as
the famous Pushkar Horse and Camel Fair and Festival of
Brahma which takes place during the full moon every
autumn. The Shikar style Camp consists of a large Mughal-style
reception tent, a recreation tent and several kitchen
and store tents. The camp is located in a large private
site overlooking the Mela ground and flanked by open
fields and hills. The Mela ground is within easy walking
distance and the town of Pushkar can be approached on
foot or camel, through the Mela, or by car along the
road.
